About

Wyldlore was founded by Ella Staff after falling in love with the scents of rose, mint, jasmine and orange blossom while travelling in North Africa. With a professional background in dance, studying massage and bodywork felt like a natural continuation of Ella’s love for movement meditation. In 2017, Ella gained her ITEC Aromatherapy Level 3 Diploma with Distinction, and she has since worked as a spa therapist at the Pig at Combe in Devon. Ella has been also fortunate to train in Pregnancy, Facial, and Full Body Massage at the Bamford Haybarn Spa at the Daylesford Estate in the Cotswolds. Ella now works from her cottage and wildlife garden in the heart of the Jurassic Coast in Devon — a magical meeting place of earth, sea and sky. Ella has an interest in Buddhism and Taoism and practices Qigong, Yoga and Tai-chi and attends monthly Buddhist meditations.

Ethos

Wyldlore is about leaving the world a better place. Its about stepping away from plastic packaging, synthetic cosmetic ingredients, animal cruelty, palm oil and deforestation. It’s also about love and nurturing - treating yourself or a loved one to a healing massage, warm bath, or spine tingling shower. Its about smelling the roses and nurturing the herbs, fruits and flowers growing all around us. Its allowing a simple everyday act of washing your hands transport you somewhere beautiful - even if only for a moment. It’s trusting in our ability to heal if we work in harmony with nature.

Ingredients

Our skin friendly products are inspired by folklore and traditional plant medicine, but guided by modern research. As Wyldlore’s cottage garden grows, so too does the quantity of home grown ingredients in our products. Our rose, lavender, rosemary, or calendula petals are bursting with the vitality of the Devon soil. We also work with carefully sourced plant oils and extracts, selecting only organic or virgin oils. This minimises the presence of chemical residues from harvest, extraction, or refining processes, and ensures that naturally occurring skin-friendly compounds are retained. It also helps support to organic growers and community projects. We do not use palm oil or animal ingredients in any of our products - making them suitable for both vegans and rainforest lovers. Everything is made in small batches with love, so that all of our products are as fresh as possible by the time they reach you…
